Geographic restrictions are a tough situation: you have a passion for improving yourself and gaining an education to help others. However, life has placed an obstacle in your way - no schools are nearby! What are you going to do?
The answer lies in being honest with yourself. Since you are reading this, you clearly have a strong curiosity about Georgia radiography training and a proven interest in the field of diagnostic imaging. The people who succeed in this field (and really, any field) are the ones who are driven and curious, who ask questions and seek to better themselves. You are not the first person to face such challenges, and you won't be the last. However, you are the only one who can decide what to do with these challenges.
How do you frame this barrier? A good example of how to think about this situation is presented in The Last Lecture, by Professor Randy Pausch.
In this book, Dr. Pausch describes how he found professional and personal success, only to be dealt a massive setback by life. How he dealt with those challenges and give hope to others is inspirational. In a nutshell, he describes obstacles as literal barriers, like a brick wall. Think about taking a journey somewhere and your path being blocked by this brick wall. You do not know why it is there, or who put it there, but you know you need to get through. As tough as this is, you basically have three options: you climb the wall, you break through the wall, or you turn back around. Well, forget about #3: you have come this far, so there's no turning back now. So, either you are breaking through that wall or climbing over it. In this example, that means you need to figure out if you are willing to move to get the training you need, or if there is an alternate training pathway near your location that will get you to your goal of being a health imaging professional.
